Susan’s extensive background in social work and family therapy has equipped her with a solid foundation to provide effective psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and young adults. Recognizing that individuals have varying capacities for change, Susan collaborates closely with young people to address their challenges while remaining sensitive to their unique limitations.
When working with children, Susan’s approach is to offer the most comprehensive and supportive care possible. She not only focuses on the child but also, when appropriate, works in partnership with their family and school to create a cohesive support system.

Susan’s decades of clinical and training experience from leading teaching hospitals have uniquely equipped her in assessing and providing therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults with highly complex cases. Some of the institutions include Hospital for Sick Children (Formerly known as the Hincks Treatment Centre), Sunnybrook Hospital (Adolescent and Family Unit), Children’s Aid Society of Toronto, and Thistledown Regional Centre.
For children, adolescents, and young adults with complex and acute cases, Susan can offer uniquely comprehensive and frequent sessions until they can find stability again. For these specialized cases she can work in collaboration with parents, schools, health care providers and specialists to come up with a comprehensive plan that helps her client move forward.
Parent Coaching
Each parent comes to the marriage with a different family history. This means they also come with different parenting styles, skills, and challenges. Life circumstances and changes may bring out those conflicts making it necessary for the parents to attend parent coaching.
