Individual Therapy – Crisis
Within Susan’s practice, she has developed an expertise in dealing with individuals suffering an acute crisis. This means that they are unable to work, parent, go to school, and/or attend to day-to-day tasks.
Susan’s primary focus for individuals in crisis therapy is to see them as frequently as possible so they can develop the skills to cope. This frequent and intensive approach leads to a faster and better outcome. It prevents the client from needing this kind of care again so that their therapy becomes less frequent and they become more resilient overall.
The goal of this approach is for clients to understand their triggers so they can get ahead of their problems and feel empowered to navigate life’s challenges.
